Frequently Asked Questions

What is the class format?

Classes will be held 2 evenings a week for 6 weeks for the sourcing-only portion and 12 weeks for the full class. The classes will be a mix of classroom-style instruction, group projects, role plays, homework, and learning from guest speakers. The most important part is the hands-on practice. You'll partner with Ejento recruiters to recruit for live engineering jobs and apply what you learn from the class. This gives you real life experience speaking with engineers and concrete metrics to share in your technical recruiting interviews.

When is the next class?

Due to our internal ATS transition, we are pushing the class date back. The next class is now scheduled to run from September 5th, 2019 until November 25th, 2019.

Is the class online or in-person?

This is a 12-week course that will be held in person at the Ejento office in San Francisco. We may offer online courses in the future, but for now, all of the classes will be held in person.

What will I learn during the 12-week program?

This course is designed to help experienced recruiters learn the skills and knowledge they need to be effective technical recruiters in today's technology-driven market. Check out our the Classes page to learn more about the topics we cover in class.

How many people will you accept into this class?

For this session, we plan to cap the class at 12 people to ensure each recruiter gets enough individual attention during the program. If we get overwhelming interest, we will bring in more teaching assistants to provide additional support for a larger class size.

Do you offer career coaching or other services at the end of the program?

After the 12-week course, we're happy to assist graduates with career coaching, LinkedIn profile and resume help, and interview preparation. You'll get access to Ejento's extensive network in the tech industry, and you'll be a part of our alumni group, where we provide additional coaching and peer support as you embark on your new career as a technical recruiter. You'll also get to know Mert Abbasi, Ejento's recruiter for recruiters who can connect you to potential recruiting opportunities.

Do technical recruiters actually make more money?

Technical recruiting can be a lucrative career, especially in the San Francisco Bay Area. Check out our graph on average tech recruiting salaries in San Francisco.

How much does the program cost?

Tuition for the full 12-week course costs $1,199. If you refer a friend, both you and your friend will both receive the referral discount price of $999. The sourcing-only portion costs $599, and the referral discount price of $499. For those who need financial aid, we can work out payment plans as needed.

I'm interested in learning more about the class! What are the next steps?

The best way to learn more is to send an email to Aaron at aaron@techrecacademy.com. We'll set up an informational call to discuss the program. If you're interested in attending the course, you'll go through a short interview process to determine if the class is a good mutual fit.

What are you looking for in the interview?

Our interview process is designed to identify recruiters who embody the Key Traits for Success, as well as those with a foundation in recruiting skills that we can build on. The recruiters who get the most out of this program tend to have hands-on recruiting experience and a love for technology and people.
